Art is Good Medicine

Art Is Good Med Pic Horiz

Art is Good Medicine is an Arts in Healthcare program in partnership with local healthcare providers such as Vidant Health. Professional visual artists and dancers work with adult and pediatric cancer patients and survivors. Through the arts, patients, survivors, and their caregivers can begin to cope with their challenge. In addition, Emerge Gallery and Art Center, Home of the Pitt County Arts Council, offers free adult workshops to anyone affected by cancer including patients, survivors, family members, and caregivers.

All workshops below are free to those affected by cancer including patients, survivors, caregivers and family members over the age of 16.

Vidant Cancer Care at Eddie and Jo Allison Smith Tower in Greenville, NC offer a variety of free classes throughout the week for cancer patients, survivors, family members and care givers. Call 855-698-4326 for more information. Registration is required.
