Art Instructors
Emerge Gallery & Art Center is currently seeking art instructors to teach Spring Break Art Camp, Summer Camps, Birthday Parties, Group Art Activities, Private Lessons, Adult Weekly Classes, and more! We are seeking instructors to teach painting, film, photography, textiles, metal design, pottery, hand building, printmaking, mixed media, and other mediums. Strong professional and interpersonal skills are required. Must have a strong arts background and education. This is a contract labor position and instructors are hired as opportunities arise. Black Creatives of Pitt County
The Black Creatives of Pitt County is made up of artists living, working, and playing in Pitt County. The group is made up of artists who are interested in literary, performing, and visual arts, however it is not limited to these. All are welcome. |
Platter Sale
Handmade platters offer festive charm for serving treats or gifting during the holidays. Popular options include ceramic trays with embossed designs, or artisan-crafted wooden charcuterie boards. Platters must be hand-crafted. They may be functional or purely decorative. Diverse shapes, sizes, and designs are encouraged. Application deadline is October 1, 2026. |

Holiday Artist Market
The Holiday Artist Market is Emerge Gallery’s annual holiday sale featuring handmade fine arts and crafts. The Wooten Gallery is set up in a booth style with each booth featuring an artist(s) or business. The sale is part of the preview night for Emerge members on Thursday, December 3, 2026. Application deadline is October 1, 2026. |
Schwa
The Schwa Show is a national juried competition recognizing excellence in fine arts and crafts. This exhibition is open to artists in any media and subject matter. Artists must be age 18 and up. All work must have been completed in the past 3 years and never previously exhibited at Emerge Gallery. Deadline to apply is August 15, 2026 |
